North Norfolk & The Surrounding Area
Edingthorpe is a very quiet village overlooked by a beautiful church, Saxon in origin and with a thatched chancel. The church is a short walk from the cottage. You can cycle less than 2 miles along the quiet lanes to the village of Bacton with it's safe sandy beach, a shop, pubs and a tea room. Excellent fish and chips are also available here. You could also cycle to Bacton woods, good dog walking, which you can explore on foot or by bicycle. You may be lucky enough to spot a deer.
Mundesley and Happisburgh beaches, both popular with children are close by, however in this part of Norfolk there are many sandy beaches to explore, all offering their own attractions. Cromer with it's pier, shops, cafes and surfing opportunities is just 8 miles away.
The town of North Walsham just over 3 miles away has supermarkets and several eating places. It also has a swimming pool if the weather is bad.
The broads are close by with all the attractions they offer including kayaking and canoeing.
The city of Norwich with it's historical attractions is approximately one hours drive.
Arthur's Cottage is well situated for enjoying all that Norfolk has to offer.
